We are home to the original Cross Bottles by Isabeau Grey. These are the bottles that started the entire cross bottle craze. They are not mass produced, each is handmade, one at time, using original designs. Every one of our vintage crystal Cross Bottles is a stunning, truly special and a one of a kind work of Art - It is why top of the line retailers, designers, showrooms and high end boutiques around the world exclusively carry our Cross Bottles.

Cherished and collected by Celebrities for years, Cross Bottles have been featured for the last decade in Celebrity Show Houses, the LA Times, and popular shelter magazines including Better Homes and Gardens, California Style, Country Living, Coast Magazine, Orange County Home, C Magazine, as well as the Robb Report Collection: The Buyers Guide for Connoisseurs, and were recently featured in and deemed "the best" by House Beautiful. Our Cross Bottles are made from remnants of chandeliers which once bejeweled the ceilings of places now lost to time. We use found antique bottles, many that date back to the mid 1800s -- some may be donned in mesmerizing patinas, some stamped with lettering from the past -- but all show beautiful signs of both time and the elements in varying degrees. We seek out the most interesting vessels and embellishments, including antique silver, altar style candlesticks, antique leather bottles from Italy and Spain, unearthed stones and artifacts, place them alongside hand-selected new items --we then join them forever within a rustic, sculptural application of solder, which we wash in the faded, time-worn hues of weathered iron and tarnished pewter.

Our Cross Bottles represent the distinct style of Greyfreth -- an artistic juxtaposition -- the marriage of sophisticated, opulent beauty with the rustic, time-worn element of antiques which grow more beautiful with age. This unique and special quality of our Vintage Cross Bottles has been recognized and loved by collectors, the general public, the Design and Artistic world and the media for years.

Our Promise to You

All of our Vintage Cross Bottles are one of a kind pieces of Art. They are not mass produced, nor farmed out - they are made one at a time, by the hand of Isabeau Chandler Grey. The Bottle that you see pictured in the catalog is not a sample of what you are ordering, it is the exact bottle that will arrive at your door.

Our Cross Bottle inventory is forever being replenished, therefore the website will be constantly updated as pieces are made and as things sell. We will never say, "let us choose for you" (unless, of course, you want us to!) because we want you to have the option to choose what you buy. After all, whom, other than you, would know best that which you truly love?

Condition of the Cross Bottles

Each Cross bottle is a one of a kind piece of Art made in part from found vintage and antique objects which bear the stamp of both time and the elements. No two are identical. As with all things touched by the hands of time and weathered by the elements - there is more than likely some evidence of that wear somewhere on the Vintage Cross Bottles. We see these things as character - perfection within imperfection. Patina, chips, scratches... they all add to the beauty of the piece in our eyes, and we hope in yours as well.

Each Cross Bottle image can be enlarged by clicking on the photo so that you can look over the details of every bottle. Each and every one of our Vintage Cross Bottles are made by hand in our studio. They are not mass produced, they are not farmed out, they are true pieces of original Art - each one unique. The imperfections, variations, and signs of age are part of what makes them special and part of their unique charm.

Because each Cross Bottle is a work of Art, they are meant to be displayed, and should be handled with the utmost care. Please pick the piece up by the bottle, not the neck nor the cross, as solder can crack if not handled properly.

Our cross bottles are for decorative purpose only, and all finials are soldered onto each bottle - the tops are not removable.

Environmental notes -
Smoke Free
Our home, studio and shoppe are smoke free environments -- we don't smoke, nor do our Artists, employees, family or friends. Your purchases are made, packed, and will arrive completely smoke free.

Recycle
Living responsibly is important to us, and so is the environment. Buying Antiques is the ultimate recycling, and Our Collections are no exception. Besides repurposing antique bottles, crystals, and embellishments, we use new packing materials, including boxes and peanuts, that are made from recycled and/or biodegradable materials.

Sea Life
Our sea life is never poached and our corals are not harvested live. Our sea life comes from reputable sources - ones that adhere to strict environmental standards which protect endangered species and regulate how sea life is harvested -- both which are very important and are in line with our own values and views. Most of our corals are vintage or farm raised and most shells are beautiful byproducts of the food industry.

with our products and customer service is of the utmost importance. We go out of our way to make sure that your shopping experience is something that you remember and that the products you purchase from us are treasures you will love for a lifetime. S&H applied charges are for online order processing, packaging, processing, transport and handling. Any special delivery requests, including specific delivery dates or a specification of carrier may incur additional charges. Delivery times are not guaranteed but are our best approximation and could vary with any additional or specific requests such as custom orders, packaging or gift wrapping. We ship and deliver Monday through Friday only. S&H is determined at time of order, subject to change, and to the following:

We ship via UPS Ground Service, Fedex Home Delivery or USPS Priority Mail- whichever is best suited for the time frame and destination of your order - You can expect delivery for 'standard sized and weight' products within 10 business days, depending on your location and availability of goods.

Charges per address are as follows:

up to $2500 = 15%

$2501 - $5000 = 14%

$5000 and up = 12.5%

Alaska and Hawaii please add $15.00 per address to the above standard charges. Expect a 7 - 10 day delivery time on your order.

While most of our products are sent directly from us, some items, especially the large ones may be shipped directly from our Warehouse or from one of our Artists, in which case, expect a delivery time of up to 4 weeks.

Cross Bottle Packing Shipping & Delivery Addendum

Cross Bottle shipping is handled a little differently than the rest of our shipping due to the nature of the item.

Packing boxes of cross bottles is extremely labor intensive, especially with large orders. It takes a lot of time, a lot of packing material and a lot of care. We do everything in our power to pack them so that, with normal carrying service, they arrive as they left the shop - in one beautiful piece. We have no control over carriers and how they handle boxes - we mark them fragile, pack them extremely carefully and trust in our shippers, but accidents do sometimes happen. To be on the safe side, we do require that insurance be purchased for each cross bottle shipment. We have, to date, never had an accident in shipping, but on the outside chance that something does go wrong in transit, save all of the pieces, all packing materials and contact us within 24 hours of delivery.

A gorgeous, curvy antique bottle of hand blown sage glass, that was picked up in France, serves beautifully as the pedestal for this cross bottle. An intricately carved Medieval style cross of aged pewter graces the French treasure, forever bound in heavy, weathered solder...a beautiful juxtaposition of elegant and rustic.
